Waikiki Beach Parasail · Honolulu
Parasailing in Honolulu
Honolulu’s parasailing leaves from Kewalo Basin Harbor on Ala Moana Boulevard — between downtown and Waikiki — daily, year-round, from $75 per flyer.
Honolulu or Waikiki — it’s the same flight
Searching for parasailing in Honolulu and parasailing in Waikiki finds the same water. The boat departs Kewalo Basin Harbor — Honolulu proper, at 1125 Ala Moana Blvd — and flies the stretch of ocean off Waikiki, with Diamond Head on one side, the Honolulu skyline on the other, and the Koʻolau range behind it. Waikiki is Honolulu’s beach neighborhood; the harbor sits just west of it.
Getting to the harbor
From Waikiki, head west on Ala Moana Boulevard past Ala Moana Beach Park — about ten minutes by car, and rideshare drop-off at the harbor works just as well. From downtown Honolulu or the cruise piers at Honolulu Harbor, it’s a short drive east along Ala Moana Boulevard; the harbor is on the ocean side. Parking is on site — park at the harbor and walk to the slip. Get directions on Google Maps, and full parking and check-in details are in the Kewalo Basin guide.
The flight
Flights run up to 1,200 feet of line, from $75 per flyer, solo or sharing the harness as a tandem or triple. Takeoff and landing are both on the boat deck — you only get wet if you ask for the optional mid-flight dip. Ages 5 and up fly; plan up to an hour on the boat and arrive 30 minutes before departure. USCG-certified captains make the weather call, and cancellation is free with a full refund or reschedule if conditions rule the day out.
